Dave Koz is a media mogul and a renaissance man for the 21st century. He continues to excel and grow as a performer while finding fulfillment as a record label executive and a radio host. A native of Southern California, Dave graduated UCLA with a mass communications degree, but decided to pursue a career in music. The talented saxophonist got his ‘big break’ in the touring band of singer Bobby Caldwell; high-profile sideman gigs with Jeff Lorber and Richard Marx followed, and soon Dave was signed to Capitol Records.
He’s been recording as a solo artist since 1990, garnering four Grammy® nominations, a worldwide legion of fans, and the respect of the music community. He became a record executive in 2002 when he co-founded Rendezvous Entertainment, which boasts one of the biggest rosters in the smooth jazz genre.
Dave’s latest project is the CD At The Movies, a collection of cinematic favorites, scheduled for release on January 30, 2007. Dave has made it his mission to end your workday on the right note and provide a ‘Smooth Ride Home’. And with his warm, engaging style, he’s sure to do just that! |
